NYC

Hey there everybody, just your friendly neighborhood Cade. I've been leaving the posting up to Kristi lately, but decided that I'd try and contribute every once in a while. My externship in DC with Arent Fox has been going really well. I can't believe that I'm done in just two more days, it's gone by so fast. I'm excited to see what the next firm experience will be. Anywho, we had a great time in NYC this past weekend. We took the Chinatown bus from DC to NYC and back. We left at 3:30 am on Saturday morning, and it's like a 4-4.5 hour trip. So we had a full day Saturday, Sunday, and left Monday at like 4 pm. Our bus broke down on the way home, and we had to wait for another one, which then took a detour into the ghettos of Baltimore to drop off one person. It was kind of weird, but just part of the whole adventure I guess. We got a 72 hour pass on the double-decker, open top buses around NYC, so that was awesome to see the whole city like that. Our hotel was a couple blocks from Time Square, across the street from Gershwin Theater (where Wicked is, but we didn't luck out with the ticket lottery the three times we tried). Here are some pics from our trip.

We had dinner in little Italy, just sat outside, eating pasta

Here are more pictures of our touring. We have had so much fun with my family being here. Now that they have gone I am not going to be doing quite as much. The good news is we still have Cade's cousin that we would LOVE to hang out with on the weekends (hint hint ) anywho, we went to about 1 million places.

Adventures of the Week

I am now a frequent blogger because I have quite a bit of time on my hands. I love it. This past week has been awesome. I would like to thank Mark and Ash and Sadie for a Great time. I loved it there. I spent the week trying to befriend the one and only Sadie Jean Olsen. I don't know how well it went. I slept in her room with her and I was the first thing she saw every morning. She woke up and cried in the middle of the night only once. When I picked her up she did stop crying, but she lunged back toward her crib. I guess being in bed was the better option. She is so adorable. we saw so much cool stuff in Washington DC and in Virginia. Cade came to Richmond on Friday night and was horrified by the traffic. It took him about 3.5-4 hours to get there. It should have only taken 1.5-2 hours. Cade did not like that. On saturday we tried to go somewhere without our tourguides (mark and ash) and turns out we did not go where we thought we were going. LAME. From Monday to Thursday it was raining pretty much non stop so we had to do things like scenic drives and short walks. Finally it warmed up. I have never been so sweaty, and I wasn't even that hot. Weird. All in all it was a pretty great week.

Ahoy!

We made it to DC!! hooray! I am in Virginia for the week and I left poor Cade to fend for himself in the big city. I hope he doesnt get eaten alive out there. We have been touring DC for a couple days, pictures hopefully will follow. We walked into church on Sunday and we saw President Uchtdorf sitting on the stand. We went and shook his hand, of course. I am spending the week with my brothers and SIL. They have talked Virginia up so much, lets just say, it better be good. Happy Sinco De Mayo!
